『Peace Music Festa! Henoko 2010
-We can see the world from Henoko Beach-』
Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st, October 2010
Open 11:30 Start 12:00 End 20:00 (No cancellation even if it rains)
Location: Henoko Beach, Nago City, Okinawa
Come have fun and dance in Henoko!
Music has power to move the world, and we believe strongly in this power.
Henoko, located in Nago City Okinawa,
continues to be targeted as the the relocation site of the U.S. Marine Corp Air Station Futenma.
Can we really allow this beautiful ocean
--home to coral, sea turtles, Dugongs and a plethora of other marine life--
to be destroyed in order to create an enormous military base?
This festa is being organized by volunteers and peace loving artists and musicians
who want to keep Henoko beautiful and base-free.
In addition to a fantastic line-up of musicians,
the event will include the following:
-Local food stands serving delicious dishes.
-Free art workshops, live-painting, dance, Eisaa performance and much more.
-Dugong tracking trip near Dugong hill
(where you might be able to watch Dugong swimming),
plaster Shissa making, and Canoeing
(Prices for these activities range from 1500yen to 3000yen and need to be booked in advance).
